The easiest garlic bread! No softened butter necessary. You can have this ready in 25 minutes or make it ahead and refrigerate or freeze to bake later.

Ingredients
1(12 ounce)baguette,sliced into 1-inch thick slices
6tablespoonssalted butter,sliced into thin pads
8garlic cloves,crushed
1/2teaspoongarlic powder
Directions
Place pads of butter in a single layer in a 9x13-inch glass baking dish. Sprinkle with crushed garlic and garlic powder. Place bread slices on top in a single layer, sliced sides down. Cover with foil. From this point, you may bake immediately, refrigerate, or freeze.IF BAKING IMMEDIATELY OR FROM THE FRIDGE: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bake - covered - for 12 minutes. Uncover, flip bread slices, and bake an additional 10 minutes, or until your desired crispiness. Serve warm.IF BAKING FROM FROZEN: Place covered pan in a 400 degree oven. Bake 20 minutes. Uncover, flip bread slices, and bake an additional 10 minutes - or until bread is your desired crispiness. Serve warm.
Notes
If you're using unsalted butter, sprinkle the baked slices with 1/4 teaspoon salt right when they come out of the oven.
