Herbed Steak Butter

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme or rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon thinly sliced green onion
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

  • Mash together all ingredients in a small bowl. Spoon onto a piece of plastic wrap, roll into a log, and wrap tightly. Chill until hardened - at least 30 minutes.
    Unwrap and slice into 1/2-inch rounds.
