Goat cheese is marinated in herb-infused olive oil here for an easy, make-ahead appetizer. Spread on baguette, crostini, or crackers.

Ingredients
6ouncesgoat cheese,sliced into discs or crumbled
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Crushed red pepper flakes
Fresh herbssee note
Olive oil
Directions
In a small jar, place a layer of goat cheese rounds. Sprinkle generously with salt, pepper, crushed red pepper flakes, and top with herbs. Drizzle with olive oil to cover. Repeat layers until jar is full. Refrigerate for 1 to 24 hours prior to serving. Serve with sliced baguette or crackers.
Notes
Any combination of fresh herbs will work! Heartier herbs (like rosemary or thyme) I leave on the sprigs, but leafier herbs (basil, mint, or dill) I will chop up.
