1cuppacked brown sugar
3egg yolks, lightly beaten
3tablespoonsbutter,cut into pieces
Combine brown sugar, cornstarch, salt, milk, and egg yolks in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat and cook 1-2 minutes longer, until thickened.Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla. Divide between 6 dessert cups or jars.Beat together heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread or pipe on pudding cups and sprinkle with chocolate shavings. Refrigerate at least an hour prior to serving.
