Since discovering my love of reading books on my phone, I am reading so much now! It's a good change of pace from our regular shows (all of which we are now caught up on), and also it is completely FREE with a library card and the Libby app.

Here's what I read in March:
Burying the Honeysuckle Girls - 4 Stars
My gateway into ebooks. This one was free on Amazon (via kindle unlimited), which I think set my expectations low. But I am surprised by how much I enjoyed it! A lazy southern backdrop for a nail-biting story. I love the combination of suspense, mystery, and family dynamics that will make pretty much every other family feel really good about themselves.
An Anonymous Girl - 5 Stars
A book I could not put down! It usually takes me a while to really get into a book, but this one hooked me right away, and I was basically hanging on for dear life as the plot kept twisting the whole way through. The ending was underwhelming, but I'm still giving it five stars because the rest was so good!
The Language of Flowers - 2 Stars
Okay, based on reviews, this book is divisive. A lot of people sing its praises, which is what was pushing me to finish. The premise is a girl in foster care who has an affinity for flowers and their symbolism. Sounds promising! However, since I am a person who zero percent enjoys reading about people making terrible decisions and being stuck in a perpetual state of melancholy, this wasn't for me. If you do like those kinds of stories, you will probably enjoy this book!
How to Walk Away - 5 Stars
LOVED!! Favorite book of the year so far. My first Katherine Center book and I cannot get over how much I love her writing. Books seldom make me laugh out loud, but this one made it happen often. And it's not even in the comedy genre! It's about a really tragic event but the characters and their interactions and thoughts are all so hilariously realistic. Such a heartwarming read! The trifecta of a great story, great writing, and great characters.
So now that I am a self-proclaimed bookworm and love talking about books, feel free to send recommendations my way and/or give me your thoughts about March books!
More good books are on the docket for April. If you want to follow in real time, you can head to Goodreads (a social media for books! fun!). Otherwise, it will all be on the blog!
